Most steering and suspension complaints arrive as a noise. The useful question is whether that noise is a worn part, a loose fastener, or something that changes how the vehicle actually handles.
What you might be noticing

Wheel bearings, ball joints, bushings and struts all announce themselves differently, and a proper inspection separates what is a safety concern from what is simply annoying. We will tell you which is which rather than quoting the whole front end.
Alignment matters more than people expect. Uneven tyre wear is usually a symptom rather than a cause, and aligning a vehicle without replacing the worn component that put it out of alignment just wears the next set of tyres.

Common questions
Do I need an alignment after suspension work?
If we replaced anything that affects the geometry — control arms, tie rods, struts — then yes, and we will say so. Replacing a wheel bearing or a sway bar link generally does not require one.
My tyres are wearing unevenly. Is that just alignment?
Alignment is often the symptom rather than the cause. A worn ball joint or bushing lets the geometry move under load, so aligning it without replacing the worn part just wears the next set of tyres too.
Is a clunk over bumps dangerous?
It depends entirely on what is making it. A sway bar link is annoying. A ball joint is a safety concern. That is exactly the distinction we make on the lift, and we will tell you which one you have.
Do struts have to be replaced in pairs?
On an axle, yes, practically speaking. Replacing one side leaves the vehicle handling and sitting unevenly, because the new one behaves differently from the worn one opposite it.
How do I know if I need shocks or struts?
They do the same job in different packaging, and which your vehicle has is determined by its design rather than by choice. Bounciness, nose-dive under braking and poor control over bumps are the usual signs either is worn.
